_______________
HOW CAN I SPEED UP THE GATE PROCESS?
Make sure you have your licence out and ready to show the team at the gate BEFORE YOU GET TO THE FRONT OF THE LINE. Same goes for your passengers, make sure they have their cash or card out and ready to go. CASH ALWAYS SPEEDS THINGS UP!
The biggest delay we get at the gate is waiting for eftpos to process payments, or waiting for people to find their wallets and dig out their cards!
_______________
DOES MY ENTRY COVER ALL SESSIONS?
Yes! All entries (apart from Burnout Only) cover all sessions throughout the weekend. You can pick and choose what you'd like to take part in. We encourage you all to take part in as many different sessions as possible. Just make sure you have the correct safety gear.
One thing to note, Saturday Morning is always the busiest time of the weekend. Pace yourself at the event and you'll get plenty of track time.
_______________
WHAT TIME IS REGISTRATION/SAFETY CHECKS/DRIVERS BRIEFING?
Friday 12pm-5pm
Saturday 8am- 1pm
Sunday 8am - 11:30am
Please make sure you arrive with plenty of time to do all three - you will not be allowed out on track without completing them all!
_______________
CAN I TURN UP TO PRE-REGISTRATION ON FRIDAY IF I'M NOT A VIP?
Yes! All entrants are welcome to do the pre-registration today from midday to 5pm, even if you're not a VIP. We highly encourage it too as it speeds up your process on Saturday Morning which does get busy!
Please note, Friday is an active event day. Any passengers with you will have to grab a GA pass to get through the gate. It's a great chance to get your weekend wristbands!
_______________
WHAT DO THEY LOOK FOR AT THE SAFETY CHECK?
The vehicle safety checklist was emailed to all entrants and you can view it on the drivers page online. Make sure you go over your vehicle before you arrive at the event.
Most common failure is battery brackets - all batteries need to be secure with a bracket, even if it's in a battery box! No a ratchet strap won't do.
_______________
WHAT AWARDS ARE HANDED OUT OVER THE WEEKEND?
While Chrome is all about having fun, we do award those we feel have the Spirit of Chrome. We have over 30 trophies and awards to give away including a few for using the Vibe Cab Stop, and the coveted KING AND QUEEN OF CHROME!
To be in the runnings for any awards, we look for attitude, those out there giving as many sessions as possible a go, making use of the Cab Stop line and just out there having a great time!
Trophies are awarded on Sunday afternoon so stick around! If original recipients don't claim their trophy, the next best will be awarded the prize.
_______________
WHAT SAFETY GEAR DOES MY PASSENGERS NEED?
Check the safety gear list on the drivers page! All passengers need the same equipment as the driver.
_______________
CAN I ENTER WITHOUT A LICENCE?
You need a FULL LICENCE to be able to drive at Chrome. Only exception is Burnout Only entries where you can use a Restricted.
_______________
CAN MY MATE DRIVE MY CAR AT CHROME?
Want to drive your mates vehicles without doing a full entry?
Second Driver wristbands will be available over the weekend for $150 + Spectator fee.
Head to drivers briefing and fill out the form. Your wristband will get you in the gate the following day so the spectator fee is only payable once.
_______________
CAN I PARK MY TOW CAR IN THE PITS?
Pit parking is available for registered entrants ONLY!
Due to the limited space inside the pits and the size of our events, all non-entered vehicles are required to have a Support Vehicle sticker. Support Vehicle stickers are $65 - ask at registration if you require one of these but they do sell out every year.
All vehicles in the pits that don't have an Entrant or Support Vehicle sticker will be removed.
_______________
WHAT IF MY VEHICLE BREAKS ON FRIDAY/SATURDAY? CAN I BRING A DIFFERENT VEHICLE?
If you have entered Friday/Saturday and your vehicle breaks during the day, you can bring a different vehicle the following day, keep in mind there's a $100 admin fee put through an extra entry for the new vehicle. DO NOT SWAP STICKERS AROUND!
Alternatively, you can use your Drivers Wristband to view the event as a spectator, or drive any other registered vehicles.
